Who is laurenzostylez?
The art of doing hair has been a lifelong passion of Lauren’s. It was no surprise that Lauren decided to become a hairstylist because of her parents involvement in the hair industry. Of her two brothers, she was the only one who gravitated towards the family niche. Lauren was always eager to go to work with her parents. She mimicked the styles her mom mastered on her own dolls and mannequin heads. When Lauren was five, she even attempted to cut her younger brother Brandon's hair. At age 13, she officially became a salon assistant. Through the years, Lauren continuously pushed herself to advance her skills; this ultimately led her to attend "Paul Mitchell the School Jessup." In 2022, Lauren completed her credited schooling hours and obtained her cosmetology license. Her professional career had officially begun.
Since 2022, she has worked hard to strengthen her skills and create a name for herself in the industry. Lauren specializes in textured hair, extensions, color, natural styles, updos, and creative styling. She has embraced the mindset of being a lifetime student of the industry, so she constantly puts herself in positions where she can grow as a stylist and as an individual. Even after obtaining her cosmetology license Lauren was eager to learn more, which led her to start working with her mentor Evie Johnson. On top of her mentorship, Lauren services her clientele in her salon suite in Columbia, Maryland.
Lauren has always been a trailblazer. The DMV Illest Hairstylist magazine, "The Next Generation," features her and a few other young stylists. She has also earned a position as a Mizani Artist. Here she will be educating other professionals on Mizani products & techniques, participating in hair shows, styling models for campaigns & much more. Lauren is only getting warmed up in the industry. Indeed, Lauren strives to move with intent. Making a positive impact in her community fuels her drive.
"Growing up, I struggled with self-confidence, but as I got older, I realized that beauty has no limits. My intention is to make every woman who sits in my chair be their own beautiful. I believe that true beauty lies within, but it's my job to bring it to light so you can see it too." Lauren White
